Volunteer Interest 

Volunteering with the PTA is one of the best ways that parents can support the students and staff at our school. Please review the brief descriptions of each volunteer area and indicate your preliminary interests. Your contact information will then be forwarded to the PTA board member or committee chair that is pulling together that activity and they will be in touch with you.

 

REQUIRED: Please print and complete the SVUSD Volunteer Forms and return to the school office.

Schedule and Coordinate Author/Illustrator visit

Help is needed during and after school when students are visiting and making purchases.

Jog-a-Thon (Oct)
Help set up for the Jog-a-Thon on the morning of the event, pass out popsicles to each class. Cheer on our students! Help take down the event in the afternoon.

Walk to School Day (Oct)
Help greet students on the day of the event.

Yearbook & Photography
Take photos of school and grade level events. Assist in page layouts, 6th grade ads and end of year distribution.

We're looking for people to help coordinate vendors/volunteers for each category: Science - Technology - Engineering - Art - Math. Volunteers also needed during the event.

This role involves planning and overseeing events where a portion of restaurant sales benefits the school. Choose the Dates, coordinate the events and promote the fundraiser.

Work alongside your student's teacher to plan the yearly fun! Plan 3 classroom parties: Winter / Valentine’s / End - of - Year. Communicate Teacher Appreciation Week to Parents. Create an End-of-Year Class Gift from Students.

Help to coordinate three exciting assemblies for our students to enjoy throughout the year!

We need volunteers to help organize this school wide Art Competition. Deadline for determining school winners is early October. hold a gallery Viewing on Campus

We need volunteers available to do occasional copying for our events. This is usually a one hour time commitment during morning school hours.

Every Spring the blacktop comes alive with carnival games, food trucks, inflatables and fun! There are a lot of opportunities to help make this night of fun a success!
